 What’s New for the 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

The Hyundai Santa Cruz combines the functionality of an SUV with the utility of a pickup truck. It is closely designed after the popular Hyundai Tucson. This model debuted in 2022, and it received a bold refresh just last year. Because of the recent improvements, the 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz is mostly unchanged. In fact, the only change is that the dark green interior color scheme from the 2025 model year is not offered in 2026.

The Santa Cruz’s unique styling is marked by a powerfully arched hood and a 4-foot truck bed at the rear. The rounded nose has a modern look with a rectangular grille. The grille features a grid-like mesh pattern, and this design carries over to the slender LED headlights. The lower bumper also has a rectangular theme, and it is accompanied by tall foglights on its flanks. Across the sides, the 2026 Santa Cruz has an undulating sculpture design with gray body molding. The molding runs across the rounded fenders and swells close to the front fender.

The first two of the four trim levels are powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This is a 191-horsepower unit that features front-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. The top trims are outfitted with a 281-horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter system. This engine is paired with all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch, eight-speed auto transmission.

Inside, the Santa Cruz’s spacious interior accommodates five passengers. Entry-level features are a six-speaker sound system, four USB-C charging ports, split-folding rear seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a push-button engine starter, cloth upholstery, forward collision mitigation, a rear cross-traffic warning, lane keeping, and other features. Higher trims add a Bose sound system, a heated steering wheel, highway driving assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, a navigation system, a blind-spot camera, a digital key, a 360-degree camera, and many additional features.
