Hybrid vs Gas Vehicles

Hyundai Elantra Sedan & Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Sedan

Hyundai has a well-deserved reputation for producing high-quality, well-engineered vehicles. In recent years, the lineup has evolved with a greater selection of hybrid vehicles. At Classic Hyundai, many of our customers debate between buying a traditional gas vehicle or a hybrid model. Our team is available to help you explore the options in greater detail.

Gas-Powered Hyundai Models

Hyundai models have been designed with fuel economy in mind, so you can expect great gas mileage with any car or crossover SUV that you select from our large inventory. Gas-powered vehicles run exclusively on gasoline, and they deliver the traditional driving experience that many of our customers are comfortable and familiar with. Some of these models include the Elantra, Sonata, Santa Fe, Palisade and more.

Hybrid Hyundai Models

Hybrid models feature a traditional combustion engine as well as a battery-powered electric motor. This combination of engines enhances fuel economy, allowing you to go longer between trips to the gas station. The battery is recharged through regenerative braking. Each time you brake, kinetic energy is transferred to the battery. Plug-in hybrid vehicles are also available. These require you to charge the battery through a power outlet, and they can take you a certain distance down the road on all-electric power before drawing any fuel from the gas tank. The Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Elantra are some of the vehicles available in a hybrid format.
